The OnePlus Pad Go 2 was not something I was excited about on day one. But after a few days, I started picking it up more often than expected. Mostly because the screen is just… easy to look at.
That 12.1-inch 2.8K display feels big, but not awkward. I tried using it during the day near natural light and didn’t feel the need to increase brightness again and again. The 900 nits brightness actually matters here, even if that sounds like a spec-sheet thing.
Performance is okay. Not “wow”, not slow either. Apps open without drama, switching between them feels normal, and I never had to wait for things to load. I didn’t push heavy games on it, so can’t say much there.
Who this tablet seems to fit well
- Students doing online classes or study sessions
- People who mostly watch videos, read, or browse
- Anyone wanting a large Android tablet without spending too much
Who may not like it much
- Users expecting high-end gaming performance
- People who depend a lot on advanced stylus features
Scrolling feels lighter because of the 120Hz refresh rate. You don’t notice it instantly, but after some time, lower refresh screens start feeling slightly off. The quad speakers are fine — clear enough for personal use, nothing cinematic.
Battery life didn’t stress me out, which is probably the best way to describe it. The 10050 mAh battery lasted through a day of mixed use without checking the charger every few hours. That was with classes, browsing, and some videos.
The software feels familiar. OxygenOS 16 doesn’t try to show off. No random pop-ups, no clutter. If you’ve used a OnePlus phone before, this won’t feel new or confusing.
Tablet pricing keeps changing, sometimes weekly. So instead of guessing, it makes sense to check the current price directly on the official store.
